WHO WE ARE

Carl Ettensperger, MD of C&C Studio, a Singapore based boutique design studio, is a graduate from the prestigious Art Centre College Of Design, Pasadena, California. His illustrious career spans from being an MD of Hirsch/Bedner & Associates (HBA) and Wimberly Allison Tong Goo (WATG), Singapore, through to the setting up of his own company, Interior Design Network International Pte Ltd (IDNI) in 1996. C&C Studio is established in 2001.

 He has been involved in some of the most prestigious mega projects in the hospitality industry. These includes The Residence Hotel in Tunisia; Grand Hyatt, Taipei; St George’s Terrace, Australia; Grand Hyatt, Bali; The Canyon Ranch Spa Club, Las Vegas; The Park, Calcutta; Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu, Nepal; Canyon Ranch Health Resort; and the Bali Hyatt Spa in Indonesia. Some of his more recently completed projects are The Living Room, Marriott Hotel, Singapore; the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Hong Kong; Leela Palace Hotel in Bangalore and Bombay and the Hilton, Maldives.

What do you like most about C&CSTUDIO?
It is totally free to do what it wishes and flexible enough to serve various needs.
This is a perfect combination and environment for a lot of creativity to flow.
Who is your favorite Designer or Architect?
Carlo Scarpa for the perfection and beauty which was created by man.
George Nakashima for showings us the beauty created by nature.
What design do you admire most?
The 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic owned by Ralph Lauren.
If you could change something in this world, what would it be?
More respect for what good design can do.
What Hotel or Resort is your favorite?
Dhoni Mighili in the Maldives
What turns you on?
The most beautiful thing on earth that God has created, a women.
What turns you off?
Bad design that was "designed".
What would you like to do most in your field of expertise if given a chance?
To design a place of worship. It is a type of place that has meaning and is going to last a little longer.
What is your motto?
To live everyday as full as I possibly can.
